Information

The amount of information received from the knowledge of occurrence of a event may be related to the likelihood or probability of occurrence of that event. The message associated with the least likelihood event thus consists of maximum information.the above amount of information in a message depends onl\y upon the uncertainty of the underlying event rather than its actual event.
For example: if want to know the weather of Delhi then we will take information from weather forecast center ,suppose they send three information first is 'The climate is hot and sunny'second is 'climate is rainy'and the last one is 'cyclone comes and thunderstorm all around'The first event contains least information as all know that if climate is sunny then it is hot..and the rare event contains maximum information..
